A fantastic week in Russia, with once again the only blot on the trip - the football! The optimism at half time taking the Russians in 0-0 was short lived, and within 10 second half minutes we were 2 down. Worse to follow, with another 2, losing 4-0.
Several of us took the opportunity to see a bit of the country in visiting both St Petersburg, before heading to Moscow and meeting up with the rest of the travelling DTA. For a trip with the hassle and cost of an expensive visa, it was still one that all who were planning on going were looking forward to, and it was a trip which, again, apart from the 90 mins, seemed to surpass all expectation. It is possible for Scotland to draw Russia in the 2020/21 Nations League, and its a place definitely to go back to!
