DTA on Tour - Peru & Mexico

What started as an random idea to 14 hours travelling, one week, two countries, two games.

Peru

Ariving in lima weather wise it was cool not to hot and not to cold, price to food and drink was cheap enough, we found spent most of our time in two irish pubs (mollys & houlihans) around 15 minutes walk ( 30 minutes with jim) from our hotel. Bellow you will find a picture of dunfermline tartan army with our hotel manager in lima, a huge thank you to jim brown and westa for organising busses for supporters to and from the game. The Tartan Army was welcomed in Peru locals extremely friendly getting stopped for pictures, on

to the game in Peru getting to the stadium was a bit of a nightmare police and stewards had no idea where Scotland supporters were to be situated within the stadium.

Mexico City

Travelling six hours from lima to Mexico city after a nightmare of our hotel being cancelled on the day of travel. Booking a new accommodation we landed on our feet with a tenth floor penthouse apartment directly across the road from where Scotland fans were gathering and where the buses were leaving from. Thanks to Tam Coyle for a tartan army party the night before the game and also to Mexico city pipe band, Travel to the stadium was a lot better with a police escort closing motorways and roads for the buses to pass - Thanks to Jim Brown and Westa.
